Envision Festival – Costa Rica – Uvita, CR – Fresh off the announcement of a 3rd sold-out event, Envision Festival is thrilled to unveil the dates and ticket sales for the 2018 gathering, returning to its blissful home in Uvita, Costa Rica next February 22nd – 25th, 2018.

Envision is a true embodiment of the community of the future – perpetuating a movement centered on a vision for a more conscious culture, one that celebrates both humanity and the natural elements of our planet. Standing on the verge of its 8th anniversary, Envision is excited for the 2nd year of Casa Envision, a year round local Youth Center in the nearby town of Uvita. For 2018, Envision promises to continue their advancement as a progressive force helping to define what it means to be a regenerative festival.

Time after time, Envision has delivered a delicately curated soundscape that spans the musical spectrum. From ethereal house beats to deep, sultry grooves, to global bass, reggae, glitch hop and live performances, Envision unites musicians from across the world to join together under the majestic Costa Rica skies for an unforgettable experience.

Each of the three stages at Envision represent a microenvironment unto itself. At the Sol Stage live music lives. Rounding out the top spots on the Sol stage we have Xavier Rudd, whose composition of message and melodies never fail to pierce the heart. Also on the bill, Mike Love will serenade us with Hawaiian vibration, Mantanza will bring Brazillian rock and Colombian Afrobeat Orchestra from the beautiful and stylish LA BOA. Electronic live jams will be unleashed in the jungle by the likes of Bob Moses, The Russ Liquid Test, and Manic Focus. Our flame pumping bass haven in the jungle, the Luna Stage, fan favorites like TROYBOI, CloZee and Dimond Saints promise soul penetrating sets on a crisp new Funktion-One Evo7 soundsystem. The Lapa Stage welcomes the biggest deep house lineup yet packing techno legend DJ Tennis, globetrotting party-starter Behrouz, Spanish techno giants Audiofly, Israeli maestro of desert-tinged House music Chaim, German live electronic fusion sensation Monolink and many other top-shelf acts from other corners of the globe.

In our LATIN American Showcase, Envision is excited to highlight some of Latin America’s most experiential sounds to share an authentic taste of Costa Rica. Flavorful performances from.Matanza (Chile), Chancha via Circuito (Argentina), La BOA (Bogotá Orchestra Afrobeat / Colombia), Patterns (CR) and local underground favorite Santos y Zurdo (CR) will be just a few of the cultured acts that await you.

Beyond the music, Envision offers opportunities to discover knowledge and grow. In accordance with this ethos, the festival has also revealed its first round of World-Class Yoga Instruction including classes lead by Gina Caputo, Carson Clay Calhoun, and Robin Martin. As in prior years, Thought-Leading Workshops will add dimension to our purpose and cultivate community around the shared value of knowledge. This year we’ll be celebrating learning experiences with astrologer Kaypacha, an activist. We’ll meet with Dakota Access Pipeline Protest leader Winona LaDuke and we’ll look at the important work of Bioneers with co-founder Nina Simons.

Musical acts are accompanied on stage by awe-inspiring performers, fire dancers, and aerialists – adding to the extraordinarily magical ambiance that envelops the lush tropical jungle landscape. Scattered throughout the festival visionary artist’s paintings become a peak attraction on the grounds. The grounds themselves are a masterpiece of stunning architecture with stages turning into visionary art installations, constructed from locally-sourced bamboo and materials, incorporating regenerative initiatives into as many aspects of the festival as possible.

Further expansions in 2016 focused on strengthening the festival’s connection to healing arts, with the development of the new yoga and movement village and the addition of Envision Educational Retreats – events that take place surrounding the festival and throughout the year.
