What Is Wicked Woods 2026?

Wicked Woods combines four stages, mountain camping, art, makers and an unusually visible care network near Fairmont Hot Springs. The whole arrangement matters as much as the lineup.

A mountain site built into a temporary city

Raven’s Nest is ordinarily described as a much smaller seasonal campground and resort. Wicked Woods overlays that setting with four stages and several camping, RV, glamping and parking areas. That difference in scale matters more than a boutique-festival label. It means the camp, the route from a vehicle to a tent and the distance between districts can shape how much time it takes to get around.

The organizer’s parking and camping guide describes Woodland parking, Aspen camping and other reserved options. General admission includes designated tent camping, but every vehicle needs a paid pass in 2026; Woodland parking is listed at CAD $30. The current attendance cap is not public, so this guide does not turn the festival’s “biggest little” language into a crowd-size promise.

Raven’s Nest is identified as an Indigenous-owned business in the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation and within Ktunaxa territory.

Four stages is a sweet spot

The 2026 lineup spreads 151 artists across a four-stage format. Its strongest routes move through house and funk, deep 140, jungle and drum and bass, global-bass textures and a broad Western Canadian undercard. J. Worra, The Funk Hunters featuring Chali 2na, Distinct Motive, David Starfire, Anaïs, ENiGMA Dubz, Sully and The Sponges give the lineup several clear vibes without reducing it to one dominant genre.

The official app is the final authority for stage assignments, times, additions and cancellations. The useful first decision is simpler: choose the kind of movement or listening pressure you want, then use the separate Sound Guide to build an actual ‘must see’ that suits you.

The map also marks a care network

Wicked Woods has announced more than a central first-aid tent. Its health, safety and wellness information names Odyssey Medical, Elite Security & First Aid, True North Fire Rescue, ANKORS and REES, alongside Sanctuary, Outreach, public-safety outposts, rally points and a sober camp. Reports can begin through an SOS number, the festival app, a rally-point QR code or direct contact with crew.

That is a meaningful design choice because care becomes something people can locate across the site in a variety of fallbacks. It is not yet evidence that every safety service will work under darkness, crowds or weak cell reception, but this kind of wide coverage with multiple agency presence is very good to see. Kudos to Wicked Woods. 

Art, makers and participation beyond the stages

The non-music program is quite strong. Aurora Gallery is designed for exhibition, live painting and sales, while the Woodland Legacy Art Fund offers selected First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists cash support, passes, meals, installation help and the possibility of longer-term placement. A maker market is also planned as a late-night village. ZULA Jewelry and Phresha are current confirmed vendors.

Movement, meditation, live art and participatory performance add other ways to enter the weekend. Final facilitators, times, capacities and access details still need to come from the current app or organizer program. 

Who Wicked Woods is for

Wicked Woods makes the strongest case to readers who want more than a sequence of headline sets. The trade is that a mountain camping festival asks for more advance planning than a city event: transport is largely private, vehicle and camping equipment are needed, terrain is uneven and intermittent cell service should be anticipated.
